VIDEO: D23 Magic Kingdom Tweet Meet – Little Orange Bird
Today 71 Disney D23 members gathered in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom for a tweet meet. We heard from many Disney Imagineers, Walt Disney Archivist, Disney Design Group Artists and Disney D23. Little Orange Bird is back home in his Sunshine Tree Terrace! I am beyond excited about this. I remember him fondly as a child and eating a many citrus swirls. He is back as his original Audio-Animatronic self perched on a crate of oranges up in the eaves. Little Orange Bird merchandise was introduced: shirts, pins and an attractions print. In June they will even have Little Orange Bird ears!
Everyone got to try a citrus swirl and they are as good as I remembered. I have to admit I have had one in the last couple of weeks at Magic Kingdom or maybe more. 
A citrus swirl is vanilla soft serve ice cream swirled with orange slush (like a sherbet). YUM! Everyone received an Orange Bird button and Citra Sipper (a fun way to get juice from citrus fruit). Some won Orange Bird whistles during trivia. It was a great experience and everyone enjoyed themselves. A big thank you the D23 staff for putting on this event. Hope you all enjoy the video.
