REVIEW: “Iron Man 3”

“Iron Man 3” is back in theaters and totally doesn’t disappoint. The hot and ever quick Robert Downey, Jr gives another awesome performance in this blockbuster sequel.  It starts out where “The Avengers” leaves off where Tony Stark is experiencing some issues that he must learn to deal with as well as a crazed terrorist that is threatening the President. He is on a mission to stop it and whoa do the special effects go into overdrive. I was so impressed with the effects and action sequences in this film. It’s a definite must see in theaters to get the full around effect.

My favorite part of this movie is Robert’s quick, hysterical one liners especially in scenes with a boy he meets along the way. I don’t want to give away too much but make sure you stick around after the credits for a special extra scene. Here is the full synopsis and characters for “Iron Man 3”….

Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

  1. Solid review Ashley. Fun for what it is, even if that still feels like it could have been more than we got.
